The new NHS inductiees! Chris H., Travis K., Tauna L., Heath L., & Kailee G.
National Honor Society. What is NHS? NHS is a nationwide organization and it consists of many chapters in high schools. The selection for NHS is based on four things: community service, leadership, scholarship, and character.
On December 9th at 3:10pm the NHS members inducted 5 new members into the organization. The previous members went through the normal task of saying the induction speeches and officially inducting the new members. After the ceremony there was cake and punch for anyone who wanted it. The whole ceremony lasted about 20 minutes.
The previous members of our NHS were: Tanner Letcher, Trisha Kudrna, Tabitha Rasmussen, Kinlee Ginn, Ashton Hughes, and Aria Hughes. The new members that were recently inducted are: Chris Hunzeker, Kailee Galles, Heath Lee, Travis Kuhn, and Tauna Letcher.
Our NHS organization does many things in the community. They do a haunted house around Halloween time to raise money. They do quiz bowls but that is not exclusively NHS. They sometimes help with Read Across America, and they have progressive diners as a group.
