The JV football game had kickoff at 6:00, after the Lady Hawks JV volleyball team beat the Bobcats. The Hawks started early with a touchdown on the second play of the game. They didn’t let up either. The Bobcats scored one touchdown during the first 2 quarters.

At halftime the score was 22-8, and the Hawks had no intensions of holding back the second half. Hay Springs came out of the locker room strong and scored quickly after halftime. They finished strong with a score of 40-8.

The JV Hawk football team is now 2-0 and looking for another win against Crawford on the 28th.

Jr. High Volleyball

The Jr. High volleyball girls played some good games last night but both teams couldn’t come up with a win. The 8th graders held St. Agnus to two good games but came up short 25-22 the first game and 25-16 the second game. The 7th grade girls played pretty good, playing three games also against St. Agnus. They lost the first one 25-13 and won the second one 25-23 which led to another game but the Lady Jr. Hawks just fell short, losing 15-13. Good job to all the Jr. High girls.

JV Football

The Hawks hosted Leyton last night, September 4. The hawks played a good game. Trent K. hooked up with his twin brother Travis K. for a 30 yard touchdown pass. Then Heath L. tacked on the two point conversion. Defensively the hawks played pretty good they had a few mistakes here and there. The rushing attack work pretty well as the Hawks got about 5 to 10 yards a carry when they would run. Heath L. led the hawks in rushing yards. When it came down to the end, the Hawks held Leyton to an 8-6 win.
